PP Fred’s’ 50th wedding anniversary

We did not have our regular meeting last Thursday. We were all invited to Sonia and PP Fred’s 50th anniversary last Saturday at the Parisian. What a wonderful sweet couple having walked their aisle together for 50 years! Please see the attached photos 50 years ago. They are as sweet as then.

Early Christmas party with the mentally challenged

Santa Claus arrived early this year. Other than our official Santa Keith, we had our 1st generation Santa Jim this year celebrating an early Christmas with 600 mentally challenged children and their parents, Rotarians, Rotaractors and friends, on Sunday, 13th afternoon. It’s a high tea Christmas party, for the first time since 2000.

17/11 – Speaker tomorrow – Rtn. Li Ying

Rtn. Li Ying, one of our new members this year, will talk to us on “Cultivating Macau’s Soft Power – A Proposal to Build the Macau Forum for World Peace and Virtues”. Rtn. Li Ying is Assistant Professor in Communication in the University of Macau. Please come to the meeting tomorrow to learn more about her and the interesting topic.
Btw, we will have visiting Rotarian Guenther Klein from Rotary Int’l Dalian Club, Pres. Queenie and Rtn. Cindy from RC Taipei Diamond visit us tomorrow.

Meeting on 24/11, Thursday

As advised by the Venetian, they are fully booked on 24/11, 1/12 and 8/12. We are trying to arrange the meeting on 24/11 to be held at the Chinese restaurant “Fortune Inn” inside the University of Macau campus in Hengqin. It sounds far away, but it looks interesting. We will let you know the exact arrangement later. In the meantime, please let me know if you can attend meeting on 24th. This will help us a lot in the arrangement. Thanks.

Grannies Tour on 3/12, Saturday

We are arranging around 300 living alone elderly for a day excursion in Taipa and Coloane including Portuguese lunch at the Pinocchio Restaurant. We will have our Rotaractors help in playing games with them and the tour will end around 3pm. We need you, Rotarians to help in this project too. Please let me know if you can spare the day for this community service for the elderly.
