On October 30 Halloween Social Night held at Venetian Portofino Spirito Bar, we have 42 Rotarians, families and friends all came dressed up in ‘ scary’ Halloween look and enjoying the interesting Halloween signature buffet dishes.
To support Rotary World’s Greatest Meal to help End Polio, the dinner fee together with box collection for the evening , totaling $14000 ( USD1750) will be donated to Rotary Foundation Polio Fund. Many thanks to our Rotarians kind generosity . The Board has agreed to round up the donation to USD2000. For this amount, the Bill and Melinda Foundation will match USD4000 so our club will help raised a total USD6000 to help End Polio , bringing ‘ This Closer’ .
We would like to express our big thank you to Service Chair Janet for kindly sponsoring the entire evening costs. Thanks also to PP Alfredo for refreshing our knowledge about how Rotary’s Polio Eradication campaign orginated and progressed as it was his Presidency year that this very meaningful Polio drive kicked off.
