At the District Awards Ceremony on 6 June 09, Rotary Club of Macau received SEVEN of the following District Awards:

  • BEST Rotary Family Project – District Conference
  • OUTSTANDING Public Relations Project – Joint Blood Donation Day
  • OUTSTANDING Child Mortality Project
  • MERIT for Literacy and Education Project
  • MERIT for Community Service Project
  • New Rotaract Club Sponsorship
  • Highest Participation (in numbers) – District Conference 2008/2009

JOINT MEETING WITH PRESIDENTS & SECRETARIES & DISTRICT AWARD CEREMONY

Current and incoming Presidents, Secretaries and District Leaders gathered for the above on Saturday, 6 June 2009 followed by fellowship dinner. About 200 District Awards were presented. Depicted are the “Make Dreams Real” Presidents presenting a souvenir to District Governor Albert Wong as a token of appreciation to his support.

District Secretary Eugene Fong and 7 Make Dreams Real Presidents were recognised by DG Albert Wong for 100% attendance for Joint President Meeting, including President Florence Hui, the Joint President Meeting Secretary.

More than 25,000 Rotarians and volunteers from 35 districts worldwide rolled up their sleeves to improve their communities as part of Rotarians At Work Day.

YOUNG CLUBS WELCOME PROGRAM ALUMNI INTO ROTARY

The Rotary Club of Kanagawa Shonan, Kanagawa, which began as a gathering of young professionals, was chartered on 15 December 2004 with 23 former Ambassadorial Scholars, Group Study Exchange team members, and Rotary Youth Exchange students.
