37th Weekly Update

On 15th March, 2015, we had our Dental check-up for elderlies at Santa Maria Home. Some were repeat check-up after our last visit and some new cases.

Meeting Highlights:

On 20th March, 2015. We had visiting Rotarian from Taiwan, Alex of Rotary Club of Grand E-club TaiChung and visiting Rotarian Marcus of Rotary Club of Malta who brought along his friend Darwin from London. We had great fellowship exchanges and learned about these two clubs’ activities . Rtn. Alex presented a souvenir to our club, a strong distilled liquor – Kaoliang (sorghum) wine, a product of their company with an auspicious brand name which is most welcomed by mahjong players. Look forward to sharing with you all in the next meeting. Club banner was exchanged with Rtn. Marcus. We had a Recognition Ceremony to PP Fatima for bringing in a new member, and also PE Elizabete being Paul Harris Fellow +4 ( Please see photos ). Box Collection – $1100.00. Actually original amount was only $500 but PP Ip kindly topped up by $100 and challenged PP Fred to top up to $1000 which he generously did. Then I added another $100. We more than doubled our collection, thanks to PP Ip for starting the ‘ race ‘.
