On the 25th September, 2014, Rtn. Maeder had his 65th birthday party at Military Club of Macau and invited our club Rotarians to join his celebration. 24 Rotarians and 12 spouses/guests attended and on behalf of our club, I presented Maeder with an auspicious birthday gift- a LuiLi crystal art piece of Peach Prosperity and Longevity. His son Michael was the MC of the evening giving us a touching story about his father.

On the 27th September, 2014 RC Macau had 7 members attended the Area 1 Macau Training Day in Macau Tower. We had a number of District officers from Hong Kong, DG Belinda, PDG Ada, PDG Anthony , PDG Jason , CDS Alice, PP Thomas, Area 7 AG YC who gave us inspiring sharing of topics from Rotary Public Image, Governance to District/Club Administration. In the afternoon session, there was a Public Image workshop when PDG Ada led us to exchange on ‘ What will you say when you’re asked …. What is Rotary’. It was interesting to hear different responses from each of the Rotarians, senior and new members. ‘How to choose a good photo for the press coverage’ was also covered by PDG Ada.

Club Sept Announcements

• -Oct 2 No meeting due to Chung Yeung Public Holiday.
• -Oct 3-5 Visit sister club Taipei and Taipei Diamond for their 66th and 6th Charter Anniversary Party respectively. P Kevin will lead a group of 7 to attend.
• -Oct 9 Meeting postpone to Oct 11 ( Sat ) due to District Governor Belinda Visit.
• -Oct 11 District Governor Belinda Visit at Venetian Hotel.( Details will be provided shortly including Area 1 Joint Dinner with DG )
