GIVE BACK GIVE BLOOD

Jointly organized by Macau’s six Rotary Clubs and the Macau Blood Transfusion Centre, ‘Rotary Blood Donation Day’ will be held on Sunday, 8 Feb 2009 from 12 noon to 5 p.m. at the Portuguese School. A host of performances by local singers, bands and dance group will be featured at New Sintra Square. A press conference will be held at the Emperor Hotel on Wednesday, 4 Feb 09.
The increasing number of Caucasians visiting and living in Macau, particularly as a result of the casino boom over the past few years, has led the ‘Give Blood’ drive to target more Caucasian donors. This year’s drive, which was launched as an annual event eight years, strives to encourage more local Caucasians to donate blood regularly in order to raise the local blood bank’s negative-blood supply.
