35th Weekly Update

On 1st March, 2015, District Rotary Day and Rotary District Carnival was held at Edinburgh’s Place, Central, HK. Macau Area 1 got a booth for the FuHong Society for Fundraising.

With handmade Rotary theme “Light Up Rotary” in frame and also “Rotary logo” cup mat, they were beautiful and attracted lots of people purchasing. Macau Area 1 Rotarians and FuHong students also formed a team to join the Ultramarathon 50km relay race, IPP KC represented our club and the team finished the race within assigned time.

On 5th March, 2015 we got good news for all of you. We have inducted 2 new members Trent Newcomb, classification : Education Administration and Jean Alberti, classification: Hospitality, who were proposed by PP Synthia and PP Guy respectively. A big welcome to our happy Rotary family. Now our club has 44 members with one more Australian and one more French member in the family.

We had a surprise visited from our good friend from the States, Lee Thomas. everyone was so excited to catch up with him and hearing his update about his Rotary Club. There was also visiting Rotarian PP Chelsia To from RC Queensway.

Club March Announcements

Mar 12 (Thursday) –There will be a cheque presentation ceremony to 3 local organizations- Concordia School, Macau Autism Association and Macau Down Syndrome Association from the funds raised during Great Gondola Grab project. Each beneficiary will receive MOP50,000.
