On 26th March, 2015, we have a small group of 11 members but, indeed, great fellowship with bottoms-up red and white wine. It was a ‘ down the memory lane’ sharing with senior members talking about their exotic and fun experience in Japan while attending the 1978 Rotary International Tokyo Convention. Like PP Choi, then a young chap was being served by a graceful 70 year old masseuse, very much to his big surprise. Then there was the eye-opening ‘ hot spring’ experience. All goes to show the enjoyment to be in the Rotary family.
PP Kazu and PP Keith also amused as well as enriched us with their interesting incidents in Japan including a ‘ Banana Club ‘ story. Now if you wish to know more, please come to our next meeting before the Easter long holiday weekend and sure the PPs will enlighten you with more juicy stories.
Our April 18 “ Green Ball” is drawing close. We will have the ball tickets ready for distribution in next Thurs ( Apr 2) meeting, so please come and pay up your 5 tickets if you have not done so. Those who have kindly paid, we will have the tickets ready for your collection. Also, please don’t forget to bring in your ‘short expiry’ canned/packaged food as we have the collection point ready now. We understand you may have quite a bit and heavy for you to bring to the meeting room. No hassle as just let PE Elizabete know and she will come around to pick up from your home or office as you wish. Remember we need enough stock to put on each guest table to promote our ‘ save the food’ cause for beneficiaries ‘ Fountain of Hope’ and ‘ Cradle of Hope’ children and teenagers.
