On 14th May 2015, Assistant Governor Synthia had her fourth and final visit to the Rotary Club of Macau in this Rotary Year. Thank you for her presentation to our members the latest information from the District:-

  • On Area 1 ‘ Blood Donation’ joint project, will be held in the next Rotary Year but will still be within the calendar year 2015
  • AG Synthia urged Rotarians to sign up and create their account on My Rotary link: https://www.rotary.org/myrotary and use the new visual identity of Rotary Logo and guidelines. It is hoped that all Rotarians can easily browse the Rotary Central site under My Rotary for updates on our Club’s progress ( members’ engagement, service programs progress and Rotary Foundation status). I and PE Elizabete would be happy to help you sign up for one of the Thursday meetings.
  • District officers and AG Synthia are still working on the Bylaws and constitutions for the Macau area which will include a new clause on the situation of a club being dissolved that all balance funds remaining in that club’s account will mark clearly which beneficiary this balance fund will be donated to. The appointed lawyer who is helping in the drafting will also assist clubs in registering club board with MSAR Macao ID Dept for the 1st time if not yet done so and this can be easily updated by clubs themselves when a new Board is inducted. AG will let the President and President-Elect know when it’s ready.

    • May 23 (Sat) – District Training Assembly at Shatin Jockey Club HK (9 members already enrolled. Welcome more and the event fee will be sponsored by the Club)
    • May 28 (Thur) – Speaker: UMAC student Chris Song and Prof Kit Kitlen on Poetry Les Murray Australia learning trip.
    • Jun 6-9 (Sat-Tue) – RI Convention at Sao Paulo, Brazil.
    • Jun 11 (Thur) – Chartered Night Dinner at Fat Siu Restaurant. ( With PP Ip’s favourite menu so please sign up with Stella and bring your family to fellowship with our Rotarians and Rotaractors)
    • Jun 20 (Sat) – RC Taipo Annual Ball at Intercontinental Hotel.
    • Jul 4 (Sat) – District Installation at HK Convention and Exhibition Centre
