Dear Fellow Rotarians, Distinguished Guests, and Friends, As we gather tonight to celebrate the 78th Anniversary of the Rotary Club of Macau, we embark on a journey through time – reflecting on our legacy, celebrating our present achievements, and envisioning an even brighter future. Over the past year, we have witnessed the true magic of Rotary – the power of service to transform lives. From impactful mental health initiatives to enriching vocational visits, our club has continued to uphold Rotary’s mission of “Service Above Self.” Each project, each hand extended in support, has strengthened our community and reaffirmed our commitment to making a difference. Tonight’s theme, “Time Travel,” reminds us that while we honor our past, we must also look forward with innovation and dedication. The challenges of today call for “United for a Good”, and I am confident that with the continued support of our members in Macau and Rotarians worldwide, we will achieve even greater milestones. As we step into the next chapter of our journey, let us carry forward the “Magic of Rotary”-the bonds of fellowship, the spirit of service, and the belief that together, we can shape a better tomorrow. Thank you for your unwavering commitment. Here’s to 78 years of service, and many more to come!

It is a profound honor to gather with you tonight to celebrate our achievements and reflect on the legacy we are building for the future. First, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you here. Your presence signifies a commitment to addressing our community’s challenges, embodying the collective spirit of Rotary. Embracing the theme of ‘Time Travel’, we look back on our incredible journey since our founding. Each action we’ve taken has created a ripple effect, transforming lives and instilling hope. Tonight, we honor not just our past but, the future we are shaping -the seeds we plant today will blossom into a brighter tomorrow. As your President Elect, I see myself as a bridge – connecting our rich history with the aspirations of a new generation eager to serve. This generation, influenced by the values of their parents, is ready to tackle emerging issues like mental health and environmental sustainability with compassion and innovation. Let us reassure our parents, wherever they may be, that we are prepared to carry on their legacy. We face challenges, but together, we can turn obstacles into opportunities for growth. The Magic of Rotary lies in the connections we foster and the hope we inspire. Together, we can create a future filled with promise, where our actions resonate through time. Dear President Calvin, Past Presidents and Fellow Rotarians of Macau Club,

It is with great joy that I congratulate you all on the 78th anniversary of the Rotary Club of Macau. This milestone not only celebrates the Club’s rich history but also reaffirms its members’ commitment to service and community betterment.

Since the chartering in 1947, the Rotary Club of Macau has been a beacon of hope, making it the second most senior club in District 3450. The Club’s legacy reflects a steadfast dedication to leadership and service, with countless initiatives that have positively impacted our community.

As part of a global organization present in over 200 countries, our diverse membership allows us to harness a wealth of skills and experiences. This unique blend strengthens our mission and enhances our ability to address local and global challenges. In District 3450, which includes Macau, Hong Kong, Mongolia, and Guangdong, we are well-positioned to act as a vital connector between China and the world.

As we commemorate this anniversary, let us reflect on the lives we have touched, and the partnerships we have forged. Every act of service, no matter big or small, contributes to a the betterment of communities in Macau, and ultimately making the world a better place.

Looking ahead, our work is more important than ever. I encourage you to embrace innovation and collaboration as we strive for greater accomplishments. Together, we can create the Magic of Rotary through every project completed, every dollar donated, and every new member inducted.

Thank you for your unwavering dedication and passion to exemplify our motto – Service Above Self. Thank you again for having me at your celebration and I am happy to meet members of the Club.
