Message from President Denis Iec
As this Rotary year comes to a close, l am proud to reflect on a year where our club truly lived up to Rotary International’s theme: Unite for Good.
We reinvented our Christmas party to embrace more Areas of Focus, including Preserving Planet Earth. Service users showcased their skills using upcycled clothing, while local Macau designers worked alongside them -turning recipients into service creators and advancing diversity, equity and inclusion.
A milestone year also saw the charter of the Interact Club of The International School of Macao. TIS is our natural partner, and we are already witnessing these young leaders create community impact in a fundraising charity concert for the Cradle of Hope (an orphanage).
Beyond our shores, we raised funds to end polio, sponsored a Global Grant for heart disease treatment for Vietnamese children, supported fishermen’s livelihoods in the Philippines, and helped children with cleft lips in India.
Macau is fortunate – but we remember that every act, no matter how small, matters. As the youngest President in our Club’s history, I have seen Rotary as a platform for leadership – a privilege to work alongside experts across every field. Rotary is not only service but vocational: helping each of us build a better world. As the Rotary wheel continues to spin, let us create lasting impact together in the year ahead.
We had a wonderful 79th Annual Charity Ball last night at the Galaxy International Convention Center. First and foremost, we want to express our sincere gratitude to our Diamond Sponsor Melco, Silver Sponsor Galaxy Entertainment Group, Silver Sponsor MGM, and Silver Sponsor SJM Resorts, for their generous support.
We also want to thank our Sister Club Rotary Club of Taipei and our Friendship Club Rotary Club of Taipei Diamond, for coming to join our Annual Ball from afar.
We also are grateful for the generous lucky draw, special draw, and table prize donors, and the “Silent Auction” donors. Without your generosity and love, we would never be able to execute such an amazing project!
Also, a big shout-out to our fantastic Organizing Committee, our lovely Rotaract and Interact helpers, our loyal club members, and our prestigious guests and families. You are the wind beneath our wings!

We are so proud of our MC President Nominee Salie and PP Guy! You two are gorgeous, witty, and so dedicated and hardworking! And a big big round of applause to Rotarian Candy for being the Organizer-in-Chief for this Ball. You brought so much professionalism, elegance, and thoughtfulness to the event! PP Liz and PP Synthia, our two “Iron Ladies” who tackle all challenges with calming resourcefulness and meticulous execution, thank you for being the backbone of the OC. Also warm salute to PP Fatima at the Reception, PP Li Ying, our first-time Floor Manager, our Veteran MC PP Elvo, our Auction Master PP Joao, our Raffle King PP Sam, our Prize Queen Rotarian Yasmin, our Treasurer Rotarian Constantino, and of course, our lovely Executive Secretary Ms. Kula. Last but not the least, our President Denis, IPP Calvin, and President-Elect Jose. Our club is so fortunate to have you all!
