The week brought together international Rotary fellowship, preparations for the Club’s forthcoming installation ceremony, and an opportunity for members to hear about the recent Rotary visit to Mongolia.
Rotary Fellowship in Mongolia
Members of the Rotary Club of Macau continued their visit to Mongolia during the week, joining fellow Rotarians at the District Governor’s Banquet on 22 August.
The visit provided an opportunity to strengthen friendships within the wider Rotary family and to experience Rotary fellowship in Mongolia.
The experiences from the Mongolia visit were also to become the focus of the Club’s regular meeting later in the week, with PP Joao and PE Salie sharing highlights and stories from their journey with District Governor Jimmy.
Club Meeting – Stories from Mongolia
The Rotary Club of Macau held its regular meeting on Thursday, 27 August at the Promenade, Sofitel Macau.
The programme for the evening featured PP Joao and PE Salie, who shared highlights from their recent visit to Mongolia with District Governor Jimmy. Their presentation gave members an opportunity to learn more about the visit and the Rotary friendships and experiences made during the journey.
The Club was also pleased to welcome visiting Belgian Rotaractor Denizhan Ozbeyli, as the current District Rotaract Representative.
Members of the Rotaract Club of the University of Macau Students’ Union were also represented, with President Daisy and Vice-President Ruby joining the evening.
The evening provided another example of the links between Rotary and Rotaract extending well beyond Macau, bringing together members and young leaders from different countries through fellowship and shared service.
Looking Ahead – Joint Installation Ceremony
Preparations were also under way during the week for the Rotary Club of Macau Joint Installation Ceremony 2026–2027, which will celebrate the leadership transition of the Rotary Club of Macau together with its sons’ clubs.
The ceremony is scheduled for 5 September at Grand Hall 3, Level 4, Macau Tower, with the reception beginning at 6:00 pm and the ceremony at 6:30 pm.
The growing registration list during the week included Rotary Club of Macau members and guests together with visiting Rotarians and Rotaractors from a number of clubs, reflecting the strong fellowship surrounding the Club as it begins another Rotary year.
With international fellowship in Mongolia, visiting Rotaractors in Macau and preparations for the new Rotary year, the week again demonstrated the friendships and connections that lie at the heart of Rotary.
