Our Year of the Horse Spring Dinner last night at the Plaza Restaurant was celebrated with heaps and heaps of lai see changing hands from 15 Rotarians to over 100 Rotaractors .  Plus hundreds of CNY festive  greetings were exchanged amongst the 11 tables of happy faces .

Of course, a big thank you to our generous Rotarians , our Rotary Alumni Catherine and Jose Neves  as well as the married Rotaractors for making this ‘ giving ‘ ritual such a rewarding experience.  The ‘ feeling rich ‘ atmosphere was further enhanced by PP Choi inviting all present to each pick a lai see on-stage, courtesy of our senior Rtn Lei Loi Tak. Notes inside ranged from $50 to $500 ! Lucky Rotaractor who got the ‘jackpot’ !!!

Happy festive donation for the evening was an impressive $4000!!!

A few reminder announcements for your kind noting:-

–  Next wk Feb 13 may be normal regular meeting but we are not short of ‘ excuse’ to celebrate . First it’s the eve of Western and Chinese Valentine’s Day. Second but the  most important is the birthday of PP Keith.  Hope Keith, you are back in time for us to celebrate your birthday together at the Venetian. I will bring chocolates to warm up the evening and if any of you wish to bring some too, this is indeed most welcome !

–  Feb 20 and 27 regular meetings will not be hosted at Venetian as they are fully booked. We will advise on alternative venue once confirmed. We may have a Portuguese film director as our guest speaker on either Feb 20 or 27 meeting. I will provide more details for your interests in due course.
