Dear Fellow Rotarians
So thankful for Typhoon USAGI sparing us any major damage. Well, we had a wonderful moon festival celebration last Saturday at Hac Sa Garden Café with over 80 Rotarians, Rotaractors, guests, families and friends.
For those who couldn’t join us, you missed a lot of fun so well organized by our young Rotaractors from RAC and UMAC — singing the latest hits and endless lantern quizzes. The singing was naturally expanded to the oldies with Norman, Choi and my husband Frank grabbing on the microphone and delighting themselves even though the young Rotaractors couldn’t sync in.
The evening was also highlighted with birthday cake-cutting for Oct birthday Rotarians and Rotaractors, including our PP Peter and Sam Ip. Happy Birthday!
For this Thurs regular meeting at Venetian, please do come and show your support to our two St Paul’s students – Grace and Wilson who will share with us their UK summer camp experience, all with sound and video. We have heard from many members feedback on arranging more speakers to enrich our meetings and increase participation. We are working on this but if you have any suggestions of interesting speakers, please do let me know so we can extend our invitation since we have quite a number of meetings before Christmas that need SPEAKERS!
You may also receive the good news of a potential new member Natasha Tome and my mail regarding this application. Please take a moment to read it as membership growth is a primary club goal for this year.
