President 11th Weekly Update

Wishing you and your family a happy Moon Festival and hope most of you, who are joining our Sep 24 ( Thurs ) Mid-Autumn BBQ Social Night at Sands Macao Hotel (6th Floor Reflections Poolside) will have a wonderful time. We already have over 100 Rotarians, Rotaractors and families coming but pity I will be missing this great fellowship gathering as I will be joining the China Liaison Office’s China trip to Shanxi and Beijing. Do enjoy!

Highlights of our 11th Regular Meeting

Attendance: 12 Rotarians, Kammy Cheong ( UMSU Rotaractor)Veronica Chan (District Rotaract Executive Officer), PP KC guest Michelle Wong and ex-Rotarian Chris Francois.
It was so nice to welcome back Chris who was a member of our club 25 years ago. Hope he will join our activities more often now that he’s based back in Macau and is one of our alumni.
Speaker: Kammy Cheong, PE and Community Service Director of our Rotaract Club of UMSU was invited to share his recent service project ‘ Gather with You’ as part of the ‘ Support Rotaractor Month’ program. Kammy delivered a very inspiring and informative talk on his service project to reach people around Macau with care through free water, greeting cards, free meals and all done within a budget of a mere $1000. The project also won Galaxy’s Youth Achievement Award. So proud of our future young leaders

Aug attendance was reported with an average attendance of 47% and 100% attendance from PP Choi, PP David, PP Fatima, PP Ip, PP KC, PP Stella, IPP Kevin and myself. Hope to welcome more members joining the 100% attendance league to support our club.

Sep 21 (Mon )- ‘ Peace through Mediation’ Launching ceremony at 6 pm at Kowloon Tong Education Bureau
Sep 22 (Tues) – District Karaoke Night at $380 per head
Oct 24 ( Sat ) – District Bollywood Night in HK Tamarind Indian Restaurant, Wanchai at $500 per head with free Indian food, music and hot fellowship ( Pls sign with Stella or myself if interested )
