Last weekend we have two community services :-

a) Dental Care visit to Santa Maria Elderly Home where PP Choi and IPP Kevin, our ‘honorary dentists’ did dental check-up and made impressions for denture for around 6 grannies there. . So warm to see them earnestly hoping for a set of new teeth for eating pleasure.

b) Visit Macau Down Syndrome Center where hobby class for floral arrangement was held for the bigger MDS bigger boys and girls. Again so heartwarming to see each of them so concentrated in making beautiful floral set, thanks to all of you who generously bought the GGG lucky draw tickets in support of this beneficiary’s training classes. I will update on the activities of Concordia School and Macau Autism Association later.

 Club Meeting Highlights

– July Attendance Report: we have 10 members with 100% attendance , thank you!!! With 45% attendance rate.

– We have 14 members and one guest of KC, Michelle who has joined our meetings for the 2nd time. – *Meeting Speaker*: We have the honor of *PDG Jones Wong*, District Membership Committee Chair to be our guest speaker on ‘ Membership Development and Retention’. As always, PDG Jones is a very stimulating and lighthearted but knowledge-filled speaker.

His sharing this year reminded our lady members that the first female Rotarian was officially inducted in 1987 and she also became the first lady President. He also motivated us with tips of ‘ watch out list’ for recruiting as well as retaining members. This year’s District membership target is *2222 *

Congratulations to PP KC Wong for his kind contribution to The Rotary Foundation to be Paul Harris Fellow +1 and member of Paul Harris Society family. He was presented with the pin and he certainly had a big grin on him and so did I in thanking him.
