We are entering the last month in the current Rotary Year!

And I would like to start this update by congratulating PE Matthew and the Organizing Committee for the success of the Rotary Club of Macau 74th Annual Charity Ball.

The Ritz-Carlton provided an excellent venue, the food was great, the atmosphere was vibrant!

I believe our guests had a relaxing and enjoyable evening. Under the theme «Wanderlust», Rotarians, their relatives and guests dressed up for the occasion.

We were graced by the presence of our honorary member, Ambassador Paulo Cunha Alves and his partner Nicholas Duell.

Both of them, as well as the other honorary guests from the Central Liaison Office, the Blood Transfusion Centre, Education Bureau and PDG Nuno Jorge, had a great time and really enjoyed, the video intro, the dance and all the festive atmosphere.

As you all are aware, PP Fred donated this beautiful Jaeger-LeCoultre watch to be included in the lucky draw.

But there were special conditions attached to it.

Only those who purchase a minimum of MOP 1,000.00, could enter this special lucky draw.

And the winner was PP Synthia!

As we enter the last weeks of the current Rotary Year, I would like to call the attention of all to a few more activities, which we have lined-up.

On Thursday, June 10, Andrew Moody will come to your Regular Meeting to speak about his latest book «Macau’s Languages in Society and Education».

And on June 17, we will have our Club’s Charter Night, which as usual, will be held at the Fat Siu Lau Restaurant.

Our Rotary Year will end with the celebration of PP Choi’s 80th anniversary!
