Christmas Party for Children with Special Needs – 20th Anniversary!
Our annual Christmas Party for over 600 people will take place in December 2019, and it is the 20th Anniversary! This party has been a celebration of Christmas as well as a platform for children with special needs to shine and display their talents. In its 20th anniversary year, the project is co-organized with the Macau Association for the Mentally Handicapped, Fu Hong Society, Special Olympics and the Association of Parents of the People with Intellectual Disabilities of Macau.
Guangxi Education Project – 20th Anniversary!
Our annual visit to Guangxi together with the Rotaract Club of Macau, the Rotaract Club of the University of Macau Students’ Union, and the Interact Club of St. Paul School will take place in December 2019. In addition to supporting the underprivileged students for their education, the visit also makes way for a meaningful exchange between the youth in Macao and Guangxi. This project is in its 20th anniversary year also.
A Day Out with the Home Alone Grannies
Into its 5th year, this project will continuously support the home-alone elderly to enjoy a one-day tour in Macao, Taipa and Coloane, including a specially prepared lunch and a gift pack.
Dental Care for the Elderly
We will continue this ongoing project of providing free dental care to the elderly. Our Rotarian dentists will visit the elderly at selected elderly care facilities and provide dental work that is needed.
UK Summer Camp
We will continue to send underprivileged students from Rotary Adopt-a-School, the St. Paul School to participate in the UK Summer Camp, thereby expanding the students’ horizons, enhancing their understanding of different cultures, and improving their confidence as well as English proficiency.
Green Clean Macau (New Project)
This new project will focus on the environmental issues in Macau. Not only this project will include Beach/City Cleanups, but it will also enhance the awareness to make Macau a “Greener City”.
Blood Donation Day (District 3450 Area One Project)
Every year, our club joins hands with other Rotary clubs in Macau to organize the Blood Donation Day in partnership with the Blood Transfusion Centre. Donors of negative blood types are particularly targeted. In addition to blood donation, registration for bone marrow donation is encouraged.
