I am sending this weekly update on behalf of our President Kevin who is now in Inner Mongolia joining AG Synthia and Area 1 Club Presidents in a CLO-organized China visit.
Mid-Autumn Social Night Highlight :
Well, AG Synthia and P Kevin, sorry you have to miss the great fun fellowship gathering last night (Sep 5 ) to celebrate Mid Autumn Festival at Sands Macao poolside. It was well attended by over 120 Rotarians, Rotaractors, guests and families who were happily diving into the sumptuous buffet table especially the BBQ corners. The few cooks couldn’t grilled the tiger prawns, tender steak, tasty lamb chop and fatty burgers fast enough for our eager members.
Free flow of Sangria, wine and thanks to PP Ip again, after dinner cognac was well consumed . Then, our dear Rotaractors never failed to bring a party to the highest exciting point.
First we have a ‘ Sing for charity to Guangxi project’ . Singer must donate or have someone donate in order to be on stage. We have PP Keith and PP Choi doing a duet song ‘ Love me Tender’ , PP Kazu challenged himself with a Mandarin song after PP David’s kind donation of $400. Elvo sang and even dance with his two lovely children . Then Rotaractors from RAC and UMSU delighted us with a host of songs well sang. We are really full of generous members and guests as we raised an impressive amount of $5000 which was handed over to RAC President Salie to support Guangxi service project in coming Dec visit to the students.
The Lantern Quiz organised by UMSU rotaractors was well responded and correct answers were rewarded with a box of Sands mooncake, compliment from Sands Macao.
IPP K C also presented his ‘ thank you’ bottle of wine to his 1314 board members who were away during our last Joint Installation.
