Ms Elizabete Fong
President of The Rotary Club of Macau
11th March 2016 marks the 5th anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake. Even today we, along with our fellow Japanese citizens, still remember the outpouring of sympathy and the kind assistance offered by you and your club, and we sincerely appreciate your heartfelt concern.
Thanks to all your support, five years after the Great East Japan Earthquake the affected areas have now achieved a steady recovery. I hope the people of your club as well as the people of Macau will visit Tohoku, Japan to witness first-hand the progress made towards recovery and how the people there have overcome various difficulties and are working energetically to redevelop the area. I would be delighted also if you could all enjoy the natural scenery there, including the beautiful cherry blossoms.
May I once again express my deepest gratitude and appreciation for all the sympathy and concern from you, your club, and the people of Macau.
